The first large artery of the abdominal aorta, which supplies the foregut organs through its three main branches.
Coeliac trunk at T12 feeds the foregut: Left gastric, Splenic and Common hepatic; supplies stomach, spleen, liver, upper pancreas and duodenum; wavy splenic on the pancreas.
