A pregnancy implanted outside the uterine cavity (usually the fallopian tube). Rupture causes life-threatening haemorrhage — a can't-miss diagnosis in any woman of reproductive age with pain or bleeding.
Reproductive-age women; risk with a prior ectopic, tubal surgery/damage (PID), IVF, an IUD in situ, and smoking.
Selected stable ectopic (strict criteria)
Caution: Only with confirmed eligibility and reliable follow-up; not if ruptured/unstable.
