A 15‑year‑old boy has had repeated heavy nosebleeds and a blocked nose on one side. CT shows a mass in the back of the nose widening the opening behind the palate (the sphenopalatine foramen) and bowing the back wall of the maxillary sinus forward. Juvenile nasopharyngeal angiofibroma (JNA), a very vascular tumour. It's embolised and removed surgically.
