Embryology frightens people because it is taught as paragraphs to be recalled. It is not a list — it is a sequence. What appeared, what moved, what fused, what disappeared, what remains. Scrub through it once and it stops being a memory test.
Then run it the other way. The examiner does not ask you to recite weeks four to eight; they hand you a newborn with a cleft lip and ask which fusion failed. That is the mode that earns marks, and almost nobody practises it.
