In real life
In a tribal district, a young couple, both sickle cell carriers, are about to marry. Under the Sickle Cell Mission, they were screened and received genetic counselling cards (colour‑coded to show their status). The counsellor explains that each pregnancy has a 1 in 4 chance of a child with sickle cell disease, and what prenatal testing can offer. They make an informed choice.
