A farmer uses antibiotics in his poultry feed to make chickens grow faster. Resistant bacteria spread to farm workers, into the soil and water, and eventually to a hospital, where a patient's infection no longer responds to treatment. AMR is a One Health problem: it needs doctors, vets, farmers and environmental regulators working together.
