In real life
A child bitten by a stray dog receives rabies vaccine (active immunity, slow but long‑lasting) plus rabies immunoglobulin around the wound (passive immunity, immediate but short‑lived). The immunoglobulin protects for the first days while the vaccine teaches the body to make its own defence. That one case shows both kinds of immunity working together.
