In real life
A 12‑year‑old girl has a light‑coloured patch on her arm. It doesn't itch and she doesn't feel the touch of a wisp of cotton on it. Her teacher thinks it's a fungal infection. An ASHA trained during the Leprosy Case Detection Campaign recognises it as possible leprosy and brings her to the PHC. She starts treatment that week and grows up with no disability and no stigma.
