Miliary TB
- Haematogenous dissemination → innumerable 1–3 mm nodules in a random distribution (touching pleura and fissures, uniform from apex to base). Radiograph may be normal early (sensitivity ~60–70%); HRCT IOC.
- Seen in primary (children) and post‑primary disease; HIV, elderly, steroids, anti‑TNF.
- Look for extrapulmonary involvement: TB meningitis, liver/spleen, marrow, choroid tubercles.
