Take a deep breath and let's start at low power. Look at the overall structure first. Notice how you have a series of layers here. The key feature of the fundic stomach is the presence of short gastric pits and long, straight gastric glands. These glands are tightly packed, and that's your main clue. Students often jump to high power and get lost in the details. Focus on the architecture first. Once you see the pits and glands, you can move to higher power to identify specific cells like parietal and chief cells. Remember, the short pits and long glands are what distinguish this from other parts of the stomach.
