The reasoning: classification
Zoonoses (WHO): diseases and infections naturally transmitted between vertebrate animals and humans. ≈ 60% of human pathogens and ≈ 75% of emerging infections are zoonotic. Classified by agent (bacterial, viral, rickettsial, parasitic, fungal) or by cycle: direct zoonoses (rabies, brucellosis), cyclozoonoses (hydatid, taeniasis), metazoonoses (via invertebrate vector: plague, KFD, JE), saprozoonoses (environmental stage: leptospirosis, anthrax spores).
