In real life
A baby born at 33 weeks weighs 1.6 kg. Instead of an expensive incubator, the nurse places the baby skin‑to‑skin on the mother's chest, covered with a cloth: kangaroo mother care (KMC). The baby stays warm, breastfeeds often and gains weight. Studies show KMC reduces deaths among small babies.
